Philippe Artaud


With his 23 years career, Philippe Artaud always has a wild imagination and the power to create new plates menus, even more tasty and innovative. The native from the Var region built his style and “cuisine” in the heart of the former Hilton Hotel at the Croisette in Cannes where he worked for 20 years, but also in Japan, Austria, Greece and Italy before donning his apron to “La Terrasse du 18” in 2008.

This Chef, specialist in Mediterranean cuisine, knows the savours and colours of the south like no other, because in the culinary universe of Philippe Artaud, the dishes are also eaten by the eyes.

His belief? The respect of the Mediterranean traditions with a market-based cuisine conceived around the best fresh products, reviewed and refined by this talented Chef.

Among his creations : the tuna tartare with avocado and mango, with a touch of pink ginger, veal in a casserole, fresh roasted Artichokes; spring rolls with lobster and coriander with a shellfish vinaigrette, nems with chocolate. Surprisingly, the Chef also composes the menu with flavours from other parts of the world: dishes delicately perfumed by Moroccan spices or Asia dishes with lobster spring rolls, are typically specialities of the Chef.
